Dr. Pinar Borman has graduated from Ankara University Medical Faculty in 1992 and received her PMR speciality from Hacettepe University Medical Faculty Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, in 1998. She has been Associate Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2012. She has received her PhD in 2011, on algology and became an algologist. Dr. Borman has been certified from Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in 2013 and become lymphedema specialist. She has also got training in kinesio taping in USA and she is a certified kinesio taping practitioner (CKTP). Professor Borman is founder member and chair of Anatolian (Turkish) Lymphedema Association in Turkey. She has also formed Hacettepe University Lymphedema Research and Practice Center in 2015 and was head of this organization. Dr. Borman is the coordinator of ILF-LIMPRINT study in Turkey. Her interest areas are lymphedema rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation and pain medicine. She is a member of National Lymphedema Network, International Lymphedema Framework, World Institute of Pain (WIP), IASP, International Society of PMR (ISPMR) and several national organization and associations related with her profession. She is currently working academically in Health Sciences University, Medical Faculty Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Ankara City Rehabilitation Hospital. She has written several books on lymphedema, lipedema, kinesio taping and musculoskeletal pain therapy. She is the author of more than 300 international and national papers on her area and has been cited more than 2000 times in the last 10 years.
