Kenzo Kase
Dr. Kenzo Kase started the idea of Kinesio Taping®, the original elastic therapeutic taping, in the late 1970s. He then invented and developed the Kinesio Taping Method in early 1980s. The Kinesio Taping technique facilitates the body’s natural healing process to allow support and stability to muscles and joints without compromising the range of motion. This technique is being used extensively in the field of rehabilitation and sports medicine worldwide. The Kinesio Taping lectures and seminars that he developed are for medical professionals such as chiropractors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and others.
Dr. Kase has now moved into a higher level of understanding with Kinesio Medical Taping (KMT). This builds upon the muscle and joint taping that are foundational to the concept of Elastic Therapeutic Taping or Kinesio Taping. But KMT goes several steps further to address complicated and difficult medical challenges such as post-surgical pain, CRPS, circulatory issues and phantom pain. Dr. Kase is on a mission to introduce clinicians to this more advanced concept of taping.
