
Evangelia Kentrou
Evangelia Kentrou is a Physiotherapist, a graduate of the Department of Physiotherapy of the ALEXANDREIO TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE OF THESSALONIKI (TEI Thessaloniki). She specializes in "Organization and Health Administration" with a master's degree from the Open University of Cyprus and in "Pediatric Physiotherapy" with a master's degree from the International Hellenic University. She worked as a Freelancer - Laboratory Assistant and Associate of (“ELEPAP-Hellenic Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled”) and as a Laboratory Associate in undergraduate courses in the Department of Ergotherapy and Physiotherapy of School of Health Sciences of University of Western Attica (Athens).
Currently, she works as a Physiotherapist in Special Education (People with special Needs) in schools and in counseling and support center for children with special needs of the ministry of education and as an Associate instructor in undergraduate courses in the Department of Physiotherapy of School of Health Sciences of University of Western Attica (Athens). She has worked as an External Associate of TEI Thessaloniki from 2015 until today at Center of Vocational Education and Lifelong Learning and at Postgraduate level, in "Pediatric Physiotherapy" where she teaches the course "Occupational Health and Safety of Physiotherapists".
She has a constant presence in Scientific Conferences, either as a speaker or as a member of the Organizing-Scientific Committee. She has served as General Secretary 2017-2019 and today is the Coordinator of the Scientific Department of Pediatric Physiotherapy of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists. She also serves as General Secretary of the Regional Department of Attica of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists. During the last year, she has been nominated by World Physiotherapy and selected by the World Health Organization to represent the physiotherapy profession in a Development Group for Package of Interventions for Rehabilitation (PIR). The development of these packages is one of the key activities within WHO's "Rehabilitation 2030 - A call for action" initiative.
Publishes in Greek and Foreign language Scientific Journals. Her clinical, research and educational practice is related to the Organization and Management of Health, the Occupational Health and Safety of Physiotherapists and with the Special Education and Training and independent living for Children and Young People with Special Needs.
